COMMON QUESTIONS

What Would You Like to Know?

WHAT MAKES OUR MILK DIFFERENT?

We believe in keeping our farm as natural as possible! Our milk is set apart from others as we are grain free. We do this for the gut health of the cow and for safety measures. We take a hit in milk production, but we get a healthier cow and healthier milk. Our cows get a buffet of free choice minerals. Check out these awesome supplements the cows get HERE!

What also sets us apart is are our cows get to roam our 40 acres of pasture year round. They are not locked up in a feedlot. Our pastures are irrigated by well water, so we do not get any run off of chemicals from the canals. Our pastures are spray free! We also buy spray free alfalfa and grass for our cows. To give the cows more fat, protein and fiber we are giving them a small amount of whole cottonseed (not oil) and mill kernels mixed into there alfalfa.

As we said we like to keep things natural as possible on the farm, so we do not give vaccines to our animals. The only shots our cows receive is a mandatory tuberculosis shot they receive before they are a year old.

IS YOUR MILK A2?

Our milk is about 85% A2. We are working on getting to 100% but we are a small dairy and we can't financially yet cull our cows just because they aren't A2/A2.

If you think you can only tolerate 100% A2 milk I ask you to just try our milk. It is very easily digestible because of it being kept raw it will mostly digest itself. We have a very high cream content that also helps with that digestion. We have lots of customers who say they couldn't tolerate other milk but tolerate our raw milk.

Raw Farms out of California says,

"The science of A2/A1 is not fully understood within the industry or consumer base. What we do know is that cows with A2 genetics have one amino acid different (the beta-casein protein BCM-7 to be exact) out of the 209 Beta-casein amino acids found in milk. Beta-casein makes up approximately 30% of cow milk proteins.  There are approximately 2500 different proteins found in milk and each protein has a specific function. It’s important to understand that most cows produce a mix of A1 and A2 Beta-casein. The science of how that one different amino acid affects human health is not fully understood.   Once these delicate proteins are pasteurized, then they are altered from their natural state.

Our Whole Raw Milk is unprocessed and complete with bioavailable vitamins, minerals, enzymes, beneficial bacteria, naturally occurring CLA, and Omega-3 fatty acids.  The ease of digestibility of Whole Raw Milk gives those that experience discomfort with processed dairy products, a delicious and natural option. Our truly happy cows grass graze on luscious green pasture, all year long. Simply filtered, chilled, tested, and bottled; nothing added or taken away. Absolutely NO antibiotics, synthetic hormones, toxic pesticides, or GMO anything."

We know raw milk from pasture grazed cows is the best option whether it be A2 or a mix of A2 and A1 because it is a whole and living food.
